Henry Lessner joined the Meridian team in the spring of 2022. After earning his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Texas A&I University, he began his career in the telecommunication industry, notably leading MCI (now Verizon) to start, develop, and expand its vast global voice, data, and Internet network. He received his securities and insurance licenses in 2005, and his Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation in 2008. In 2005, Henry joined Fortune Financial Services, LLC, where he worked for five years before leaving to help start Wealth Management Group, LLC, in 2011.

Previously, Henry served as president of the Allen/Fairview Chamber of Commerce, president of the Arts of Collin County Foundation, and is a founding board member of the Allen Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra. He served on the board of the Allen Community Outreach for 11 years, twice as board president, and was co-chair of ACO’s capital campaign.

Most recently, Henry served three terms on the Fairview Town Council and was selected as Mayor Pro-Tem for two of those terms. Henry is a former club president of the Allen Sunrise Rotary Club and is now the founding president of the new Fairview Rotary Club. He serves as an advisor to the Allen Library Endowment Board and the Samaritan Inn Endowment Board. He also works with the Garden Club at Caldwell Elementary School in McKinney.

Henry is a member of the First United Methodist Church in Allen and served in many lay leadership positions including administrative council chair, lay leader, staff-parish relations chair, evangelism chair, finance committee chair, and was co-chair of a building expansion committee. He currently serves as chair of the Endowment Committee and is on the Evangelism Committee, sings in the chancel choir, and leads an adult Sunday school class. He also leads education courses offered through the church including Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University. He previously served as the Lay Leader for the North Central District and Associate Lay Leader for the North Texas Annual Conference. Henry has also served the North Texas Annual Conference representing them at the 2012 and 2016 Jurisdictional and General Conferences.

Henry lives in Fairview with his wife Nancy. They have two adult children and five grandchildren who all live in McKinney. His outside interests include volunteering, reading, and hanging with his grandchildren.
