Thomas Poskin

Director of Investments

Tom Poskin made a career-defining decision moving in 2013 to Meridian as executive vice president. Transitioning over 30 years’ experience in national, regional, and community banking in senior leadership positions in trust, investment, and private banking for PNC Bank, Huntington National Bank, and Watseka First National Bank to a registered investment adviser. He is uncompromising and dedicated to serving clients through the higher fiduciary standards required of an RIA.

Tom earned his bachelor degree from Illinois State University, a master’s degree from the University of Illinois, and graduated with high honors from the ABA’s National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University. He also has experience in teaching finance at the college level and having announced daily financial market reports for radio helps him explain the complexity of investing in today’s financial markets. He is engaged in the community as a board member of the Fayette Alliance, is active with the Lexington Senior Services Commission, and making our community a better place to live for all ages.

He resides in Lexington with his fiancé, Liz. Outside the office, he enjoys pursuing passions, family, tennis, gardening, a couple of old cars, and the family farm in Illinois. A fun fact about Tom, he taught high school agriculture for six years and was named the Outstanding Young Agricultural Educator in Illinois. Former students continue to donate their money to fund the “Tom Poskin Scholarship,” given to the Outstanding Agriculture Student each year, for over 30 years.
