Before joining Meridian in 2014, A.L. Kawaja worked as a financial advisor for Lexington Investment Company and New York Life. In 2021, he took on the role of Director of Insurance for our company subsidiary Meridian Insurance, LLC. A.L. specializes in insurance products and family business planning.

A.L. earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Kentucky and his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Eastern Kentucky University. He currently serves as the chairman of Central Kentucky’s Salvation Army Board and is the vice president of the Kappa Alpha Central Kentucky Alumni Association.

A.L. lives in Lexington with his wife, Missy. Outside of work, he enjoys playing golf, following University of Kentucky sports, and horse racing.
